General description

Caffeine Mettler-Toledo melting point standard is useful for the routine calibration of Mettler-Toledo melting point instrument. The value for its melting point equals an average of 6 to 12 measurements with a Mettler-Toledo MP70 excellence melting point instrument that is calibrated with primary standards.

Application

Mettler-Toledo calibration standard ME 18872, caffeine (234-236.5 °C) finds its use in the calibration of thermosystem 900, in both pharmacopeia and thermodynamic modes of operation.
This mp standard is also employed as a temperature calibration standard in thermal analysis techniques.

Features and Benefits

  • Melting point calibration standard traceable to a primary standard from LGC, London
  • Melting points measured in both thermodynamic and pharmacopeia modes
  • Available with certificates of analysis and safety data sheet
  • A product of analytical standard grade that meets the QC/QA requirements of melting point analysis
  • Ready-to-use melting point standard, supplied as a finely ground powder
