Gene Information

Specificity

GABA A receptor alpha6 subunit. The apparent molecular mass of the alpha6 subunit in rat brain membrane fractions is 56-57 kDa. The antibody shows no reactivity in the forebrain of alpha6 knockout mice.

Immunogen

MBP fusion protein from the cytosolic loop of rat GABA A receptor alpha6 subunit.

Application

Anti-GABA A Receptor α6 Antibody detects level of GABA A Receptor α6 & has been published & validated for use in IH & WB.

Immunopreciptation: The antibody will immunoprecipitate 53% of all GABA A receptors in sodium dodecylsulfate extracts of rat forebrains (150 μL) using 15 μg of antibody.

Optimal working dilutions must be determined by the end user.

Physical form

Affinity purified immunoglobulin in 10 mM HEPES, pH 7.5, with 150 mM NaCl, 100 μg/mL BSA and 50% glycerol.
