General description
Histone H2A is one of the 5 main histone proteins involved in the structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. Featuring a main globular domain and a long N terminal tail H2A is involved with the structure of the nucleosomes of the ′beads on a string′ structure.
15 kDa
Immunogen
Epitope: a.a. 134-142
Application
Anti-phospho-H2A.X (Ser139) Antibody is a Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody for detection of phospho-H2A.X (Ser139) also known as histone 2 H2ac, histone IIa & has been validated in IP & WB.
Immunoprecipitation:
A previous lot of this antibody successfully immunoprecipitated phosphorylated H2A.X as determined by an independent laboratory.
A previous lot of this antibody successfully immunoprecipitated phosphorylated H2A.X as determined by an independent laboratory.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Broad species cross-reactivity expected based on conservation of sequence homology.
Histone H2A.X phosphorylated at Ser139.

Format: Purified
Preparation Note
Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol-containing solutions to become frozen during storage.

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is associated with characteristics of breast cancer stem cells, including chemoresistance and radioresistance. However, it is unclear whether EMT itself or specific EMT regulators play causal roles in these properties. Here we identify an EMT-inducing transcription factor
