Features and Benefits

  • Femtogram-Level Sensitivity for VEGF-A Detection: Enables ultrasensitive quantification of VEGF-A, critical for detecting early-stage angiogenic signaling in cancer, wound healing, and vascular disorders.
  • High Specificity for VEGF-A Isoforms: No cross-reactivity with VEGF-B, VEGF-C, or VEGF-D. Ensures accurate measurement of VEGF-A, the most potent pro-angiogenic isoform, without interference from related growth factors.
  • Critical Tool for Cancer and Angiogenesis Research: Enables monitoring of VEGF-A expression in tumor microenvironments, supporting studies on tumor progression, metastasis, and response to anti-angiogenic therapies.

General description

Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor A (VEGF-A) is a crucial signaling protein that promotes the growth of blood vessels (angiogenesis) in various physiological and pathological processes. It is primarily produced by endothelial cells and is involved in wound healing, embryonic development, and the response to ischemia. Elevated levels of VEGF-A are often associated with tumor growth and metastasis, making it a key target for therapeutic interventions in cancer and other diseases characterized by abnormal blood vessel formation.
