Features and Benefits

  • Specific Detection of IL-17A/F Heterodimer: Enables accurate quantification of the biologically distinct IL-17A/F complex, which plays a unique role in Th17-mediated inflammation and autoimmune disease.
  • Ultra-Sensitive Quantification via SMC®Technology: Supports early detection of immune activation, especially in diseases where IL-17A/F is present at low levels, such as psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, and IBD.
  • Verified for Human Serum and Plasma: Demonstrates high recovery rates (88–101%) in spiked human samples.

General description

Interleukin-17A/F (IL-17A/F) is a heterodimeric cytokine formed by the combination of IL-17A and IL-17F subunits, both of which are produced primarily by Th17 cells. This cytokine plays a significant role in mediating inflammatory responses and is involved in the recruitment of neutrophils and other immune cells to sites of inflammation. IL-17A/F is implicated in various autoimmune diseases and chronic inflammatory conditions, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for managing such disorders.
