Application

Azide agarose is a 6% crosslinked agarose resin that is activated with azide functional groups for covalent capture of alkyne-tagged biomolecules via copper(I)-catalyzed alkyne-azide or copper(I)-free strain-promoted alkyne-azide click chemistry approach. This product can be used for either a batch protocol or a low-pressure column method.

Successful purification of biological molecules by affinity chromatography requires the attachment of desired ligands to biocompatible chromatographic supports. The Cu(I)-catalyzed cycloaddition of azides and alkynes-the premier example of "click chemistry"-is an efficient way to make covalent connections among diverse molecules
