Poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) is a hydrophilic polymer that is commonly used in biomedical applications. This is a biocompatible polymer with one chain-end functionalized with a thiol group which is commonly used in ligation as well as in thiol-ene click chemistry. These polymers are commonly used as an amorphous alternative to PEGs.
