Application

When these nanoparticles (NPs) are used along with PEG-containing designer surfactants such as TPGS-750-M, a facile reduction of nitro compounds can be effected in water at room temperature. The transformation is highly chemoselective and tolerates a large variety of functional groups.

Caution

Handle under nitrogen and store under argon in refrigerator.
