General description

Bismuth(III) telluride (Bi2Te3) is a thermoelectric material, which acts as a topological insulator: a quantum material with an insulating bulky gap and gapless edge. It forms thin films by different techniques, which include chemical method, electrodeposition and molecular jet method.[1][2]
The binary chalcogenide, bismuth(III) telluride occurs as mineral tellurobismuthite in nature. 1-2
We are committed to bringing you Greener Alternative Products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Greener Chemistry. This product has been enhanced for energy efficiency. Find details here.

Application

Bi2Te3 can be used for a saturable absorber in a variety of photo-optic applications, which include pulse fiber lasers.[1][2]
