一般描述

聚乙烯吡咯烷酮(polyvidone、povidone或PVP)是一种由线性1-乙烯基-2-吡咯烷酮基团组成的合成水溶性聚合物。它是吸湿性的,并且很容易吸收其重量的40%的水。它在溶液中具有优异的润湿性能,易成膜,适合用作涂料添加剂。PVP可以AIBN为引发剂,通过其单体形式N-乙烯基吡罗烷酮的自由基聚合合成。在化学品行业,PVP是应用广泛的表面稳定剂、生长调节剂、纳米颗粒分散剂和还原剂。

应用

PVP(平均分子量)可作为稳定剂,用于合成金属纳米颗粒,以防止其团聚。PVP还用于制备介孔硅聚合物杂化物(PVP-氨基丙基- sba -15希夫碱杂化物),以有效去除废水中的二价重金属阳离子。PVP功能化的接枝对重金属离子具有很强的亲和力,因为它提供了两个吸附位点,一个是通过金属-C-O基团相互作用,另一个是通过金属-π相互作用(与希夫碱的螯合)。

    Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is characterized by its K value, a dimensionless value which is a function of the average molecular weight, the degree of polymerization, and the intrinsic viscosity.  It is calculated from dilute solution viscosity measurements.  log (Ns/No)/C = (75 Ko x Ko)/(1 + 1.5 Ko C) + Ko where Ns = viscosity of the solution, No = viscosity of the solvent and C = concentration in grams per 100 ml of solution. K = 1000 x Ko. The larger the K value for a material, the higher the viscosity.  

  7. What solvents can be used to dissolve Product PVP10, Polyvinylpyrrolidone?

    This compound is readily soluble in water.  It has also been reported in the chemicals encyclopedia published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, 12th ed., Entry# 7879 to be soluble in ethanol and chloroform, but practically insoluble in ether.
