General description

Chlordimeform- a formamidine insecticide and acaricide, is used to protect fruits, crops such as cotton, livestock, and pets. It acts by activating the octopamine receptors in the insects. It is not approved for its use in the European Union as a plant protection product.

Application

The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
The chlordimeform CRM may also be used to:
  • Develop and validate a method for simultaneous determination of amitraz, chlordimeform, formetanate, and their 5 metabolites in human urine samples by high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) technique
  • Determine formamidine pesticides and their main metabolites in blood samples by using core shell columns for liquid chromatographic (LC) separation and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) for detection in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode
  • Analyze residues of 74 pesticides from different classes, in samples of traditional medicines of Chuanxiong and Danggui by acetate QuEChERS method for extraction and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) for detection
  • Quantify 106 pesticide residues in nut samples by using microwave-assisted solvent extraction to extract pesticides, combining freeze-out with dispersive solid-phase extraction for clean-up, and ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS/MS)
  • Prepare samples of fruits and vegetables by Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) based QuEChERS method to determine multiple pesticide residues by gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS)
  • Simultaneously determine 284 environmental contaminants in human fat tissue samples by gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS)
