General description

TSKgel ODS-80Tm is a general purpose column for the analysis of low MW pharmaceuticals, bases, nucleosides and nucleotides. Common applications include purity checks and peptide mapping. Bonded phase pore size is indicated by the number in the product description, in this case TSKgel ODS-80Tm has 80Å nominal pore size. The pore size of the base silica is 100Å.

Application

TSKgel® ODS-80Tm HPLC Column may be used for the separation of:
  • Dehydroacetic acid, benzoic acid, sorbic acid and salicylic acid in cosmetic products during their determination by solid-phase extraction (SPE) followed by analysis using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with ultraviolet (UV) detection.
  • Cilostazol and its metabolites in human urine during their determination by liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) followed by analysis using HPLC-UV.
  • Heterocyclic amines in food products during their analysis by LC coupled to mass spectrometry with electrospray ionization (ESI-MS), LC combined with tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) with ESI, LC coupled to atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI)-MS/MS, LC with UV-diode array detection (DAD), LC with UV-fluorescence detection (FLD) and LC in conjunction with electrochemical detection, etc.
  • Rabeprazole and its metabolite, rabeprazole thioether in human plasma samples during their analysis by column switching HPLC with UV detection.
  • β-lactam antibiotic, cefaclor during its determination by HPLC-FLD.

Physical form

Shipped in 70% methanol - 30% water.

A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method for simultaneous determination of dehydroacetic acid (DHA), benzoic acid (BA), sorbic acid (SOA) and salicylic acid (SA) was developed for application to cosmetic products. Isocratic reversed-phase HPLC was employed for quantitative analysis using tetra-n-butylammonium
