Chrysin (5,7-dihydroxyflavone; CAS 480-40-0) is a naturally occurring flavone found in honey, propolis, and passionflower species, and is commonly used as an antioxidant and research reagent.
This certified reference material can be used for HPLC/LC–MS quantitation of flavonoids in botanicals and propolis-containing matrices. Chrysin is quantified in honey and propolis for profiling and quality assessment, making it useful in food authenticity studies. Testing focuses on confirming identity and purity of standards and supporting quantitative method calibration when profiling flavonoids.
