  3. Why do I see only 9 peaks for 46975-U Volatile Free Acid Mix in my capillary column analysis?

    This is normal if you are using an FID because formic acid will not be seen by this type of detector.

  4. What is the elution order of volatile free acids, mix 46975-U, on a Nukol capillary column?

    On a Nukol column, using 180 °C isothermal temperature and 20 cm/sec helium carrier gas, the elution order is acetic, formic, propionic, isobutyric, butyric, isovaleric, n-valeric, isocaproic, n-caproic and heptanoic.  The chromatogram is shown on page 3, Figure 1, of the attached Fatty Acid/FAME Application Guide.

  5. Does 46975-U Volatile Free Acid Mix come with a CofA (Certificate of Analysis)?

    Product 46975-U Volatile Free Acid Mix is a qualitative standard and a CofC (Certificate of Composition) is included.  There is no CofA (Certificate of Analysis) for this product.
