General description

Formaldehyde 2,4-dinitro­phenyl­hydrazone (C7H6N4O4) is a planar molecule and the nitro groups are almost coplanar with the benzene ring.[1]

Application

Formaldehyde-2,4-DNPH may be used as an analytical standard for the determination of the analyte in air samples, food and feed products, and aquatic products by various chromatography techniques.[2][3][4][5][6]
