General description

Chloropicrin is a disinfection by-product that is commonly produced in chlorinated water. It is known to cause health problems in humans.
Sigma-Aldrich offers chloropicrin for a variety of applications that include, but are not limited to, environmental, food and beverage, forensics, petrochemical and pharmaceutical analysis.

Application

Chloropicrin may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in drinking water, chemical warfare agents and grain based products by various chromatographic techniques.
