General description

2,3,4,5-Tetrachlorophenol belongs to the class of chlorophenol (CP) compounds, regarded as persistent and potentially hazardous substances. It finds its use as a fungicide, and in applications such as preservation of plants, and sewage treatment.

Application

2,3,4,5-Tetrachlorophenol may be used as a reference standard in the determination of 2,3,4,5-tetrachlorophenol in water samples using dispersive liquid−liquid microextraction (DLLME) and derivatization combined with gas chromatography-electron-capture detector (GC-ECD).
2,3,4,5-Tetrachlorophenol may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in landfill leachates, aqueous samples, and environmental samples by various chromatographic techniques.
