General description
- Spherical (better packed bed performance than granular particles)
- Hard and non-friable (pack well, will not break)
- Highly porous (high surface areas)
- Used for molecules with an analyte size relative to C2-C5 n-alkanes
- Hydrophobic (can be used in high humidity environments)
Generally, CMS adsorbents offer greater relative adsorptive strength compared to spherical graphitized polymer carbon (SGPC) and graphitized carbon black (GCB) adsorbents. Our Carbosieve products are a type of CMS adsorbent.

What does the 60/80 stand for in the product description?
The 60/80 refers to the mesh size range of the actual particles. When working with mesh size: the larger the mesh number, the smaller the diameter of the particle. In this case 60 refers to a diameter of 250 microns and 80 refers to a diameter of 177 microns. Therefore; the particles in this product with 60/80 will range between 177 microns and 250 microns.
