General description

A new concept in intensifying screens provides improved resolution and maximum sensitivity and can now enhance exposures with low-energy β-emitters.
Conventional intensifying screens capture particles after they have passed through the film and "reflect" them back as light. Low-energy particles can never reach a conventional intensifying screen. TranScreens, placed between the gel or blot and the film, intercept particles and "transmit" them to the film as visible light. Choose from:

  • LE for low-energy β-emitters like 3H, 14C, 33P, 35S, 45Ca, and 59Fe
  • HE for high-energy β-emitters like 32P and γ-emitters like 125I

Both are optimized for use with BioMax MS film, but can be used with other films.
