Gene Information
human ... SHC4(399694)
General description
SHC (Src homology 2 domain containing) family member 4 (SHC4) is a 69kDa protein expressed in melanomas. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 15q21.1-q21.2.
Immunogen
SHC4 (AAH33907, 1 a.a. ~ 630 a.a) full-length recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.

Biochem/physiol Actions
SHC (Src homology 2 domain containing) family member 4 (SHC4) has a role in cell migration and growth of metastatic melanomas. It is a substrate of the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). SHC4 associates with tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) and regulates the activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK).
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4
