Application

Triflupromazine hydrochloride has been used for the screening of inhibitors of S. mansoni miracidial transformation5. It has also been used to study its intracellular localization in central nervous system cells using secondary ion mass spectrometry microscopy6.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Triflupromazine is a D2 dopamine antagonist and a phenothiazine antipsychotic. It is also a potent tranquilizer7 and can significantly reduce body temperature8.
