General description
TWEEN® 20, also known as polysorbate 20, is a non-ionic detergent. It reduces the surface tension in solutions and thereby aids in uniform spreading of reagents. Tween 20 has a gentle action on cell lipids, preserves the integrity of cell surface antigens and aids in the staining of intracellular proteins.
Application
Non-ionic detergent
TWEEN 20 has been used as a surfactant and has also been used for enzyme extraction.

MEK1/2 is a serine/threonine protein that phosphorylates extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK1/2). Cerebral ischemia results in enhanced expression of cerebrovascular contractile receptors in the middle cerebral artery (MCA) leading to the ischemic region. Here we explored the role of the MEK/ERK
