General description

Netrin-1 controls guidance of CNS commissural axons and peripheral motor axons. Its association with either DCC or some UNC5 receptors will lead to axon attraction or repulsion, respectively. It also serve as a survival factor via its association with its receptors which prevent the initiation of apoptosis. Netrin-1 is also Involved in tumorigenesis by regulating apoptosis.

Physical form

Lyophilized in PBS with trehalose and Brij 35.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute with 100 μsterile distilled water.

Commissural axon guidance depends on a myriad of cues expressed by intermediate targets. Secreted semaphorins signal through neuropilin-2/plexin-A1 receptor complexes on post-crossing commissural axons to mediate floor plate repulsion in the mouse spinal cord. Here, we show that neuropilin-2/plexin-A1 are

The burden of neuropathic pain is growing worldwide. Recent studies recapitulate the requirement for AMPA receptor in excitatory synaptic plasticity underlying pain-related syndromes. Netrin-1 and its receptor deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC) are fundamental for AMPA receptor dependent synaptic transmission.

The neuroprotective effects of netrin-1 after spinal cord injury and its specific molecular mechanisms have not been elucidated. In our study, Western blot, transferase UTP nick end labeling staining and immunofluorescence staining first showed that netrin-1 significantly decreased the expression
