Nω-Propyl-L-arginine (NPA; NPLA; p-ARG; L-PNA) is a substrate-competitive, reversible, potent and selective neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS; bNOS) inhibitor (Ki = 57 nM/bovine nNOS, 8.5 μM/bovine eNOS, 180 μM/murine iNOS) widely used for probing nNOS-dependent physiological and pathological processes both in cultures and in animals in vivo.
Substrate-competitive, reversible, potent and selective neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS; bNOS) inhibitor with in vitro and in vivo efficacy.

Background: Heart failure (HF) is associated with reduced expression of plasma membrane Ca2+-ATPase 4 (PMCA4). Cardiac-specific overexpression of human PMCA4b in mice inhibited nNOS activity and reduced cardiac hypertrophy by inhibiting calcineurin. Here we examine temporally regulated cardiac-specific overexpression of

Germinal matrix hemorrhage is induced by stereotaxic injection of collagenase into the germinal matrix of P7 Sprague-Dawley rats. Hemoglobin assay, western blot, immunofluorescence and neurobehavioral tests were used to test the effects of BLVRA on hematoma resolution and anti-inflammatory response.
