Application
SR1848 has been used as a liver receptor homolog 1 (LRH-1) inhibitor to study the role of LRH-1 in the regulation of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced proinflammatory cytokines in mice macrophage. It has also been used as an LRH-1 inhibitor to study its effects on activation-induced Fas ligand (FasL) expression in the murine T-cell hybridoma cell line.
Biochem/physiol Actions
SR1848 is a cell penetrant and potent inhibitor of LRH-1.
SR1848 is a cell penetrant and potent inhibitor of orphan nuclear receptor liver receptor homolog 1 (LRH-1; NR5A2) that reduces the expression of CyclinD1 and E1, which results in inhibition of cell proliferation. SR1848 induces rapid translocation of nuclear LRH-1 to the cytoplasm.
The actions of SR1848 might contribute to anti-cancer functionality.

CD95/Fas ligand (FasL) is a cell death-promoting member of the tumor necrosis factor family with important functions in the regulation of T-cell homeostasis and cytotoxicity. In T cells, FasL expression is tightly regulated on a transcriptional level involving a complex

Liver receptor homolog-1 (LRH-1, Nr5a2) is an orphan nuclear receptor mainly expressed in tissues of endodermal origin, where its physiological role has been extensively studied. LRH-1 has been implicated in liver cell differentiation and proliferation, as well as glucose, lipid

The orphan nuclear receptor liver receptor homolog 1 (LRH-1; NR5A2) is a potent regulator of cholesterol metabolism and bile acid homeostasis. Recently, LRH-1 has been shown to play an important role in intestinal inflammation and in the progression of estrogen
