Gene Information

General description

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs, or GPRs) contain 7 transmembrane domains and transduce extracellular signals through heterotrimeric G proteins. Northern analyses revealed GPR81 expression in the pituitary.

Immunogen

GPR81 (NP_780729, 276-329)
This antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide selected from the region of mouse GPR81-S296.

Physical form

Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide.

Under aerobic conditions, the preferential use of anaerobic glycolysis by tumour cells leads to a high level of lactate accumulation in tumour microenvironment. Lactate acts not only as a cellular energy source but also as a signalling molecule that regulates

Besides being actively metabolized, lactate may also function as a signaling molecule by activation of the G-protein-coupled receptor 81 (GPR81). Thus, we aimed to characterize the metabolic effects of GPR81 activation in Müller cells. Primary Müller cells from mice were
