General description

The Human IL-8 ELISA (enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human interleukin-8 (IL-8) cell lysate and tissue lysate. Elevated expression of the gene is observed in a number of cancers including chronic spontaneous urticaria and breast cancer, thus serves as a prognostic marker for the same. IL-8 regulates the metastasis and angiogenesis processes during cancer development.Itis responsible for epithelial-mesenchymal transition which plays an important role in providing cancer cells the mobility to invade other neighbouring cells, thereby contributing to metastasis.
