Gene Information
rabbit ... GAPDH(2597)
Immunogen
The epitope recognized by PLA0125 maps to a region between residues 250 and 300 of human Glyceraldehyde-3-Phosphate Dehydrogenase using the numbering given in entry NP_002037.2 (GeneID 2597).
Physical form
Tris-buffered Saline containing 0.1% BSA containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Other Notes
In the process of carbohydrate metabolism, GAPDH (glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate dehydrogenase) catalyzes the oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehydes-3-phosphate to 1,3-diphosphoglycerate in the presence of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and inorganic phosphate. In addition to its role in the oxidation of glucose, GAPDH has been shown to be involved in other cellular processes such as vesicle transport, DNA repair, DNA replication, cytoskeletal modulation, and tRNA export.

The faithful segregation of eukaryotic chromosomes in mitosis requires that the genome be duplicated completely prior to anaphase. However, cells with large genomes sometimes fail to complete replication during interphase and instead enter mitosis with regions of incompletely replicated DNA.

1,25(OH)2 D3 has been reported to attenuate liver steatosis; however, its exact mechanism of action remains poorly understood. This study aimed to determine whether 1,25(OH)2 D3 can attenuate hepatic steatosis by inducing autophagy. Male C57BL/6 mice fed a high-fat diet

Multidrug resistance (MDR) is a major obstacle to cancer chemotherapy efficacy. In the present study, 6-O-angeloylplenolin repressed the overexpression of ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 1 (MDR1) and increasing the intracellular concentration of anticancer drugs. Collagen is the most abundant protein in humans. It has a characteristic triple-helix structure and is heavily posttranslationally modified. The complex biosynthesis of collagen involves processing by many enzymes and chaperones in the rough endoplasmic reticulum. Lysyl hydroxylase 1 (LH1)
