Suitable for the screening of inhibitors of DPP4.
Biochem/physiol Actions
The DPP4 Inhibitor Screening Kit is a simple assay suitable for high-throughput screening of potential DPP4 inhibitors. DPP4 activity is measured by cleaving the substrate to yield a fluorescent product (λex = 360/λem = 460 nm), proportional to the enzymatic activity present. The effectiveness of the test inhibitors may be compared with the DPP4 inhibitor (sitagliptin) provided as a control.
Features and Benefits
Compatible with high-throughput handling systems.
General description
Dipeptidyl-peptidase 4 (DPP4; CD26; adenosine deaminase complexing protein-2) is a membrane glycoprotein with serine exopeptidase activity that cleaves X-proline dipeptides from the N-terminus of polypeptides. Inhibitors of DPP4 inhibit the degradation of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and glucagon-like peptide-1 by DPP4 and have emerged as oral anti-diabetic agents.

Two key enzymes like α-glucosidase and dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) play an important role in the development of Type 2 diabetes (T2D), and inhibiting them is a common treatment strategy for T2D. In this study, an ultrafiltration- centrifugation approach was developed

Gamma-cyclodextrin (γCD) is a cyclic oligosaccharide consisting of eight α-(1,4)-linked glucopyranose subunits, which is often used in the food and pharmaceutical industries. However, little is known regarding the metabolic activity of "empty" γCD per se. Therefore, in the present study
