General description
This α-MEM differs from the original formula, because it is supplemented with L-alanyl-L-glutamine dipeptide. Glutamine is notoriously unstable in cell culture. This dipeptide provides a more stable form of glutamine for use in cell cultures.

The signaling cascade initiated in response to DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) has been extensively investigated in interphase cells. Here, we show that mitotic cells treated with DSB-inducing agents activate a "primary" DNA damage response (DDR) comprised of early signaling events

Mammalian tissue- and/or time-specific transcription is primarily regulated in a combinatorial fashion through interactions between a specific set of transcriptional regulatory factors (TRFs) and their cognate cis-regulatory elements located in the regulatory regions. The axon initial segment (AIS) is critical for the initiation and propagation of action potentials. Assembly of the AIS requires interactions between scaffolding molecules and voltage-gated sodium channels, but the molecular mechanisms that stabilize the AIS are poorly understood. The
