How do you prepare Product L6274, Laminin from human placenta?
To prepare a laminin solution, we recommend that the L6274 be thawed at 2-8°C to avoid the formation of a gel. This can be further diluted in a balanced salt solution. If the product has been thawed at room temperature and ends up as a gel, it cannot be reactivated for use.
How long can cover slips coated with Product L6274, Laminin from human placenta, be stored?
Laminin coatings, such as laminin coated cover slips last about one month at 2-8°C. Do not use the product if discoloration or spider web formations appear on the surface of the coated material.
Is Product L6274, Laminin from human placenta, laminin 1 or 2?
Fifteen laminin trimers have been identified. We do not determine what type of laminin this is. Typically laminin from placenta is considered laminin-2/4 and laminin from Engelbreth-Holm-Swarm murine sarcoma basement membrane is laminin-1.
