General description

Amersham CyDye NIR-labeled secondary antibodies enable quantitation of Western blots with a strong signal-to-noise ratio. Mulitplexed experiments allow for the detection of two proteins on a single blot. The use of total lane signals to normalize target protein data yield robust and reliable results.

  • Easy handling and a strong signal-to-noise ratio yield reproducible results
  • Multiplexing analysis of more than one target protein on a single blot increases process efficiency
  • Total protein normalization (TPN) generates reliable and accurate quantitation
  • Stable signals allow membranes to be stored and rescanned if needed for future studies

Amersham CyDye 700 and 800 are secondary antibodies labeled with NIR fluorophores. They emit light at wavelengths of 700 nm and 800 nm. Multiplexed experiments can be performed by using both of these secondary antibodies along with a pair of appropriate rabbit or mouse primary antibodies.
