General description

IgG antibody subtype is the most abundant serum immunoglobulins of the immune system. It is secreted by B cells and is found in blood and extracellular fluids and provides protection from infections caused by bacteria, fungi and viruses. Maternal IgG is transferred to fetus through the placenta that is vital for immune defence of the neonate against infections
Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody is specific for all rabbit IgG subclasses. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG is conjugated to Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC) in an alkaline reaction, further purified to remove unbound FITC.

Immunogen

Purified rabbit IgG

Application

Anti-Rabbit IgG (whole molecule)-FITC antibody may be used for immunofluorescent labeling of mouse spleen cells at a working antibody dilution of 1:40. The antibody was used for immunohistochemistry of dorsal root ganglia neurons of chicken embryos at a working antibody dilution of 1:500 using anti-neurofilament-M as primary antibody.

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide
