purified, NSO cell-derived recombinant human epidermal growth factor receptor extracellular domain.

Application

Anti-Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor/Erb B1 antibody produced in goat was used for immunoblotting to analyze stable expression of anti-EGFR shRNA in MCF10A breast epithelial cell line.

Biochem/physiol Actions

EGFR is a transmembrane glycoprotein that binds to the EGF family. It is a pivotal regulator of cell proliferation, growth, differentiation and DNA repair after radiation-induced damage. Mutations in the gene encoding EGFR are associated with a number of malignancies including lung cancer and colorectal cancer.

Physical form

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in phosphate buffered saline with 5% trehalose.

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) belongs to the EGFR family of receptor tyrosine kinases that comprises four members. As opposed to the other family members, HER2 does not require ligand binding for activation. Hence, HER2 molecules can undergo

Dysregulated receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) signaling is a common occurrence in basal-like and triple-negative breast cancer (BTBC). As a result, RTK-targeting therapies have been initiated but proved difficult, mainly owing to the multiplicity of dysregulated RTKs. Hence, targeting master regulators

One of the causes of breast cancer is overexpression of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). Enhanced receptor autophosphorylation and resistance to activation-induced downregulation have been suggested as mechanisms for HER2-induced sustained signaling and cell transformation. However, the

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) overexpression is associated with resistance to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The EGFR modulates DNA repair after radiation-induced damage through an association with the catalytic subunit of DNA protein kinase. DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) are the most

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exemplifies the family of receptor tyrosine kinases that mediate numerous cellular processes, including growth, proliferation, and differentiation. Moreover, gene amplification and EGFR mutations have been identified in a number of human malignancies, making this receptor
