General description
Corning 384 well UV microplates have a UV-transparent well bottom that is ideal for determining protein and/or nucleic acid concentrations. UV-transparent plates from Corning have a special material molded onto the bottom that is transparent to UV light. By eliminating the need for expensive quartz cuvettes, this material allows for the determination of nucleic acids or protein concentrations in a 384 well plate format. The Corning 384 well UV plates are is compatible with the following plate readers:
- Bio-Tek PowerWave 200
- Bio-Tek uQuant
- Bio-Rad UltraMark
- Molecular Devices SPECTRAmax 190 and 250
Corning 384 well UV plates have the following features:
- Excellent well-to-well uniformity
- Zero percent cross talk
- Certified for low background and consistent performance at 260 and 280nm
- Certified DNase- and RNase-free
- Total well volume: 125μL; recommended working volumes of 20 to 80μL
- Lid not included; lids are available separately
