General description
Brachyury (T) is an oncogene mapped to human chromosome 6q27. This gene codes for Brachyury, which is expressed throughout the primary mesoderm during the early stages of embryogenesis. Brachyury protein structure comprises highly conserved DNA binding domain, known as T-box domain.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to an internal sequence of human brachyury (GeneID 6862). This sequence is 80% identical in mouse and 86% identical in rat.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Brachyury protein is a transcription factor that aids in the embryonic development of notochord tissue. It also plays an essential role in posterior mesoderm formation and differentiation. Brachyury is highly expressed in a variety of cancers including, chordoma and hemangioblastoma. It serves as an immunohistochemical marker for differential diagnosis of chordoma and hemangioblastoma (HBL).
Physical form
Solution in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Chordomas are rare and difficult-to-treat tumors arising from the embryonic notochord. While surgery is the mainstay of treatment, and despite new techniques aimed at maximizing total tumoral resection, recurrence remains high and the probability of disease-free survival low. New breakthroughs

The Brachyury gene encodes a transcription factor that is conserved across all animals. In non-chordate metazoans, brachyury is primarily expressed in ectoderm regions that are added to the endodermal gut during development, and often form a ring around the site

Brachyury is a transcription factor which is required for posterior mesoderm formation and differentiation as well as for notochord development during embryogenesis. Due to its expression in the neoplastic cells of chordoma, a malignant tumour deriving from notochordal remnants, but

The transcription factor Brachyury (T) gene is expressed throughout primary mesoderm (primitive streak and notochord) during early embryonic development and has been strongly implicated in the genesis of chordoma, a sarcoma of notochord cell origin. Additionally, T expression has been

Transcription Factor 4 (TCF4) has been associated with autism, schizophrenia, and other neuropsychiatric disorders. However, how pathological TCF4 mutations affect the human neural tissue is poorly understood. Here, we derive neural progenitor cells, neurons, and brain organoids from skin fibroblasts
