General description
Monoclonal Anti-Digoxin (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from an immunized mouse.
Immunogen
Digoxin-KLH.
Application
Monoclonal Anti-Digoxin-Biotin antibody produced in mouse has been used in:
- in situ hybridization
- immunohistochemistry
- immunolocalization
Monoclonal Anti-Digoxin-Biotin antibody produced in mouse may be used for ELISA at a dilution of 1:10,000 and for dot blots at a dilution of 1:500. It was also used to stain apoptotic cells in cervical carcinoma sections by TUNEL technique.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Antibody is specific for digoxin and shows a high affinity for digoxigenin.
Digoxin is a phytoestrogen that binds estrogen receptors and produces inotropic effects in cardiac muscle. Studies show that digoxin decreases the risk of breast and uterus cancers that are estrogen sensitive.
The conjugate may be used to detect digoxin-labeled compounds such as oligonucleotides, antibodies or peptides.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 15 mM sodium azide
