General description

Sigma′s Hybridization Solution is a 2x ready-to-use hybridization buffer for Northern and Southern blot protocols.

Application

Hybridization Solution has been used to hybridise the nitrocellulose membrane.[1] It has also been used in DNA hybridization.[2]
Suitable for use as a hybridization buffer in Northern and Southern blot protocols.

Components

Sigma′s Hybridization Solution contains 200 μg/mL DNA in 10x SSC and 2X Denhardt′s solutions:
200 μg/mL DNA
2mg Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
2mg Ficoll
2mg Polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)
0.15 M sodium citrate
1.5 M NaCl
