General description
Amylmetacresol is a phenolic antiseptic. It is a local symptomatic pain relief throat lozenges effective in managing acute sore throat symptoms.

Application
These Secondary Standards are qualified as Certified Reference Materials. Amylmetacresol may be used a reference standard for the determination of amylmetacresol in bulk and pharmaceutical formulations by reverse phase-high performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method.
