Application

Fine particulate matter Standard Reference Material (SRM) is intended primarily for the evaluation of analytical methods used in the determination of selected polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), nitro-substituted PAHs (nitro-PAHs), polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) congeners, hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) isomers, sugars, polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin (PCDD) and dibenzofuran (PCDF) congeners, inorganic constituents, and particle-size characteristics in atmospheric particulate material and similar matrices.

Features and Benefits

  • The certified mass fraction values for PAHs, PBDE congeners, and specific inorganic components are reported and are metrologically traceable to SI units of mass.
  • Accomplished with non-certified mass fraction values for nitro-PAHs, PBDE congeners, sugars, HBCD isomers, and particle-size characteristics.
  • Period of Validity, instructions for handling, storage, and use are provided on the NIST certificate.
