Application

Standard reference material 1107 is intended for validating chemical and instrumental methods for elemental analysis of brass alloys.

Features and Benefits

  • Available with NIST-certified values as well as reference mass fraction and Coverage Factor (k) values of elements in Naval brass estimated using a Gaussian random effects model [3–5] and the DerSimonian-Laird procedure.
  • The certified values are metrologically traceable to the SI unit of mass, expressed as a percent.
  • Information values for elements are provided and expressed as mass fractions.
  • Expiration details and instructions for use, storage, and handling are provided on the NIST certificate.

Other Notes

Certified for the analytes listed below.
Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Lead (Pb), Nickel (Ni), Tin (Sn), Zinc (Zn)

Reference/Informational value is provided for the following analytes. Aluminium (Al), Manganese (Mn), Phosphorus (P)
