Nitro Blue Tetrazolium is a tetrazole compound with two tetrazole rings.[1]

Application

Nitro Blue Tetrazolium has been used:
  • to measure superoxide radicals[2][3]
  • in lactate dehydrogenase quantification assay[4]
  • for blot development in western blotting analysis[5]
  • in NADPH-d histochemistry[6]
  • as a reagent to analyse the properties of murine intestinal mucins by electrophoresis and histology[7]
  • in immunohistochemistry[8]
