General description
1,5-Diphenylcarbazide (DPC) is a colorimetric reagent commonly employed in the determination of trace metals.
Application
1,5-Diphenylcarbazide may be used in the following processes:
- Quantification of palladium and platinum by spectrophotometry.
- As a mediator for the functionalization of carbon paste electrodes employed in the estimation of Hg(II) ions by differential pulse voltammetry.
- Alteration of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), employed for the detection of chromium (VI) ions via colorimetry.
