General description

Tryptone glucose extract broth is a non-selective medium to detect total heterotrophic microorganisms in water, dairy products, and other liquids. If the membrane filtration method is used, impregnate a sterile pad with the medium and deposit the MF on the pad and incubate. Plates must be protected against dehydration.

Tryptone glucose extract broth is suitable for the enumeration of total bacteria by membrane filtration methods in water, dairy products, and other liquids.

Components
