How are the Amicase® (product A2427) and Hy-Case® SF (product C9386) different?
The Amicase® (product A2427) and Hy-Case® SF (product C9386) are related items, but they are not exactly the same. The Amicase® is prepared to keep the inorganic ions to a minimum so it is high in total nitrogen. This is also the case for the Hy-Case® SF; however, this item is prepared to be essentially salt free (contains a maximum of 2.0% sodium chloride). The Hy-Case® SF is recommended for use as a microbiological nutrient in laboratory media and fermentations, where a mixture of highly soluble free amino acids is required. It is especially recommended when inorganic ion levels need to be kept at a minimum.
