General description

Maltodextrin is a polysaccharide. It is soluble in water and has a mild sweet taste. It can soak fatty substances, hence is used in food industry.

Application

Test sticks give positive reaction for all reducing sugars
Test sticks may be used to determine blood glucose level using blood from finger tips. It may also be used in analysing urinary glucose.
