General description
Supplement V is an additional reagent for use in the SimPlate® yeast & mold. SimPlate® Binary Detection Technology combines proprietary media and a patented plating device to provide fast and accurate quantitative results for key groups of indicator organisms. Defined substrates incorporated into the media are utilized to detect multiple enzymes and redox reactions associated with the target organisms resulting in chromogenic or fluorescent changes to the media, providing easy-to-read results. Supplement V is added to convert color indicator to fluorogenic media when visualized under UV light.
Application
Supplement V is added to SimPlate® trays to convert color indicator to fluorogenic media for the detection of yeast and molds in sample with high vitamin C content such as undiluted juice or dry pet food without the need for optimization of reaction and cycle conditions.
