General description

Bemotrizinol is a fat-soluble organic UV filter that belongs to the family of methoxybenzenes. It is commonly used as a constituent of sunscreen products due to its ability to absorb UV-A radiations. It is commonly sold as Tinosorb S and Escalol S.

Application

The analytical standard can also be used as follows:
  • Multi-residue analysis of five UV filters in sunscreen lotion and human outermost skin samples by ultrasound-vortex-assisted DLLME (US-VA-DLLME) and high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detection (HPLC-DAD)
  • Quantification of nine organic UV filters in coastal sand samples using an optimized high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method based on a biphenyl core-shell column, in combination with UV and fluorescence detection
  • Determination of the analyte in topical pharmaceutical formulations by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method (RP-HPLC).

Packaging

Bottomless glass bottle. Contents are inside inserted fused cone.
