General description

PCB No 77 belongs to the class of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), a group of highly toxic pollutants commonly found in various environmental matrices and food products. They find a variety of applications as flame retardants, plasticizers, dielectric and heat transfer fluids, etc.
PCB No 77 is a polychlorinated biphenyl congener. It can also induce cytochrome P-450 enzyme in marine creatures like the rainbow trout fish.

Application

PCB No 77 solution may be used as an analytical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in meat, poultry and fish using chromatography techniques.
