General description

Methoprotryne is a triazine herbicide intended to control annual and perennial grass in a variety of crops. Triazines herbicides act by inhibiting photosynthesis in all organisms with oxygen-evolving photosystems.

Application

Methoprotryne may be used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte:
  • In processed cereal samples from Chinese total diet study (TDS) using selective and sensitive isotope dilution–high performance liquid chromatography–linear ion trap mass spectrometry (Isotope Dilution–HPLC–LIT-MS3).
  • In drinking water by a novel dispersive micro solid phase extraction (DMSPE) method based on a polymer cation exchange material (PCX) with ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography?high-resolution mass spectrometric detection.
